mobile forwarding not working

I posted this once, but somehow I closed it by accident and it's marked as resolved.

Anyway, no mobile browsers would redirect to /mobile during my 7:05 pm CST service on 02/22. The iOS video is the only huge concern with this, but it is still a bummer. I put a userAgent detection script in each of my video embed areas as a workaround until everything is taken care of.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes! I had this same problem last night. I had everyone type /mobile in their URL to get to our stream. Huge problem

I haven't heard back about this yet, but I can tell you that placing a userAgent detection script in the video embed boxes will kick the user to the /mobile site. You don't need to use and if / else, just put the close script tag before your actual embed.

I don't know how to use that script. Can I get the code?

I tried to post a text file, but it didn't work. Put this code in your pre-event and event embed boxes BEFORE your actual embed code. Replace YOURDOMAIN with your actual domain.

    http://YOURDOMAIN/mobile

Ha ha! That didn't work! It parsed my code and dropped the redirect URL in there.

    Go here:

The one downside of this method is that the iPad goes there, but short of writing a crazy conditional script to stay on the full site as an iPad but load the HLS embed is just too much!

    I hope this helps!

Haha. Thanks Eric. The script shows up fine in the email though

Hey guys, yeah, we realize something went bonkers with the mobile detection. We will be pushing a fix here in the next couple hours (max).

I never took the code I dropped in the video embed box back out to see if it was working or not. I had forgotten all about it!

Everyone seems to like the new format. The ChurchOnline platform looks fantastic, and the functionality is way better than what I was doing before. Fantastic job by all those involved.
